Ingel Vaikla (b. 1992, Tallinn) is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Brussels. She works mainly with video, 16 mm film and found footage. She is a former resident of HISK (2018 - 2019), Wiels Contemporary Art Center (2021) and current PhD researcher at PXL-MAD/UHasselt. Vaikla's artistic practice focuses on the representation of modernist architecture and the relationship between places and communities. She is constantly in search of a visual language that would not only describe architecture as an aesthetic sculptural form, but could translate the existential, conceptual and ideological qualities that architecture conveys.

Her works The House Guard, Roosenberg, Double Exposure, Papagalo, What's the Time? EUR42 have been screened internationally at film festivals and art institutions such as IDFA in Amsterdam, Kunsthalle Wien, EKKM in Tallinn, Beursschouwburg in Brussels, Manifesta 13 in Marseille , Videonale in Bonn, Tramway in Glasgow European Media Art Festival in Osnabrück, Busan International Video Art Festival etc.
