Silke Gerinckx (Roeselare, 1997) is a young maker and performer. She graduated from KASK in 2022 as a master in performance. The red thread running through her work is theatricality and absurd humour. Voice, movement and her own body are central elements in her performances, in which she often deploys alienated or abstracted sounds that dictate the atmosphere. She has a strong visual 'out there' style and her guilty pleasure is the dadaïstic art movement. Starting from personal fascinations and fixations, she explores their universal dimension and looks for strange connections that can trigger and inspire the audience.
