Festival for video art
As part of the Transitions Maastricht video art festival, Jester presents the video installation Super Taboo by Su Hui-Yu, and the three video installation Hommage à... by Lili Dujourie, both at Jan van Eyck Academy, Maastricht. We also present a 4+ hour long film program at the Lumière Cinema, Maastricht on 13 March. The program expands on the concept of the exhibition Charming for the Revolution and presents cutting-edge video art and short films concerned with the representation of the body’s sexuality and labour.
Transitions is a celebration of adventurous filmmaking in many shapes and sounds. Taking place over six days in Maastricht, it combines unique film programs with installations and workshops, and is a homecoming for intuitive filmmakers and audiences with an open mind and heart. Transitions has been initiated by the local audiovisual platform Video Power and has a multi-voiced curatorial approach, featuring walking routes and a deep presentation of the knowledge and experience that is present in the Euregion.
Super Taboo can be visited between 09.03 and 14.03 at the Jan van Eyck Academy, Maastricht.
The film program will be screened at the Lumière Cinema in Maastricht on 13.03.
