Jeremiah Day

Jeremiah Day uses movement, photography and text to construct an embodied reflection on civic struggles - often in the form of contemporary "odes" to exemplary moments or figures. Collaboration and self-organisation of cultural spaces and events are important aspects of his practice, and he regularly collaborates with figures such as dancer Simone Forti, the band Chicks on Speed or thinker-activist Fred Dewey.

This spring, Jeremiah Day is realising a film project at Jester on the embedding of industry in the landscape around Genk.

Jeremiah Day lives and works in Berlin, Germany. He graduated from UCLA in 1997 and spent 2003-2004 at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. He is represented by Ellen de Bruijne Projects, Amsterdam, and Arcade, London.
